Our team has several d of experience in customs regulatory and FDA verification on different categories of food and non-food products.
We can support you to ensure compliance with the different legislation.
As a first steps, a due diligence is required on the list of products you intend to import into Canada and / or in the United States to determine:
. Products with no entry specifications
. Products requiring ingredients verification
. Products requiring an import permit
. Products subject to quotas and availability
. Products prohibited from entry
If you already have a customs broker to clear your cargo, we will work with them.
If you require that service as a 'Non Resident Importer', either to clear in USA or in Canada, we are your partner of choice.
Before looking at importing a product, a Harmonized System (HS) code verification is required.
This step ensures that your products are classified properly and taxed (if applicable) at the appropriate rate.
Your country has a free-trade agreement with Canada or with the USA?
If your products are eligible, our team will support you in filling the appropriate Certificate of Origin so you can benefit from a potential duty reduction / exemption.
In some cases, it is possible that your products require a permit to be imported in Canada or in the USA.
Our team can support you in your steps towards the different customs agencies.
Your product is new or has a significant technological breakthrough and you are unable to properly classify it in any of the 99 Harmonized System (HS) chapters?
A request for 'Ruling' may be appropriate.
Your products have entered by the United States and Canada to be re-exported and you have paid import duties that you wish to recover?
Our team will validate with you if you can recover money and will take the steps with you!
